Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Please - trying to find a home that can take them both - the boys have been together for 3 years. Both are Great with humans. Jack has been professionally trained as he use to fly with me when I traveled. That ended 3 years ago and I have not enforced it so he is just a great pet now. Joel has the most loving personality Ive ever seen/met. Jack gets very noisy around other dogs. My job recently requires extensive travel where I will be gone up to 10 days at a time 1-2 x per month. I cannot afford to board them that often so desperately need to find a good home for them. **** Breed: Black Mouth Cur and American Bulldog **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2192159&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
