Nordic is the smallest boy of the crew, but don’t let that fool you — this little guy is all heart and zero interest in leaving his comfort zone. At 8 weeks old, he’s already mastered the art of sticking close to home… specifically, his mama. Nordic is a proud Mama’s Boy. If there were a ski lift straight to her side, he’d stay on it all day. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he knows exactly where his people are. Think less downhill chaos, more cozy lodge vibes. ❄️ Important info: About a week ago, we learned the puppies have ringworm (not cute, very rude). They’re currently undergoing treatment and doing well. Because of this, we’re hopeful they’ll be ready to head home after January 14. ⛷️ Good news: You don’t have to wait to apply. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
