Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). She may be small, but Espresso has a whole lot of heart. Espresso is one of our newest pups to arrive from Alabama after being found abandoned with her siblings in a heartbreaking situation. Thanks to quick action and compassionate fosters, she is now safe, loved, and thriving in her foster home. At approximately 10–12 weeks old, Espresso is everything you’d hope for in a young puppy — sweet, social, and full of curiosity. She loves people, enjoys being part of the action, and is soaking up all the love and structure her foster home has to offer. She has a playful side but also knows when it’s time to snuggle, making her a wonderful balance of fun and affection. Espresso is currently in a foster home in Binghamton, NY, and like any puppy, she will need continued training, patience, and consistency as she grows into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Espresso is: Puppy-sweet and social Great with people Playful, curious, and affectionate Ready to learn and grow in her forever home. All our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
