Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff / Mixed. Meet Mia Mia is a sweet Corso mix puppy looking for her forever home. Mia and her mom were living on the streets when a kind Good Samaritan stepped in to help. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to bring mom to safety at that time. We are still actively searching for her, but we were able to save this precious baby. Mia is everything you’d hope for in a puppy — loving, gentle, and full of potential. She is dog friendly, great with kids, and would do best in a home that already has another dog to help guide her as she grows. She enjoys companionship and thrives with canine friends around. This little girl has already been through more than any puppy should, and she deserves a safe, loving home where she can finally relax and just be a puppy. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Mia, please visit our website and submit an application. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
