Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Please welcome Hazel to WWR! This pint sized powerhouse will be 3 months of age upon arrival on 1/24/26 and is looking for her forever. She’s been well socialized and loves to play. As you can see, her tail was removed and she was discarded but a Good Samaritan found her and she is on her way to us. Hazel has been spayed, UTD on vaccines, and the adoption fee is 600.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
