Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed / mixed. Sweet Potato (Tater) Tater is a 14-week-old mixed breed with huge paws and he’s definitely going to be a big guy. He has a big, goofy personality and loves to roughhouse and play with his brother. Rope toys and tug-of-war are his favorite things, and he’s always up for a game. He’s also very sweet and affectionate and gives lots of kisses. Tater does great in his crate — he sleeps through the night and has never had an accident. He’s fully potty trained as long as he stays on a good routine. Tater would fit well into almost any home. He’s great with other dogs and is actually pretty submissive with them. He’s been around a cat and was curious but respectful, no chasing, and would be fine in a home with cats. He’s good with kids too, though he can be a bit much for very young kids who aren’t used to a playful puppy who jumps. Overall, Tater is a loving, fun puppy who’s going to grow into a big, loyal companion.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
