Description
Dog Breed: Boston Terrier / Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). Meet Odie! This 4-year-old Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix is bursting with personality and ready to find his forever home! Odie came to us after being lovingly surrendered by his owner, who cared for him deeply but faced serious health concerns. They did everything they could to set Odie up for success — and now we’re honored to help him find the forever home he deserves. We thought he had found his forever a couple of months ago, but it did not work out. Since then Odie has been decompressing with his foster and we are determined to find his perfect furever family. He’s all Boston Terrier energy with Bulldog sturdiness, stubbornness and attitude — playful, sturdy, and endlessly entertaining. He loves a good game of tug, and will gladly play as long as you will. He has been working hard at being the best version of himself. He can sometimes get excited and grab at hands or clothing. He is easily redirected with a toy, and has had much fewer instances since he has learned routines and boundaries. Odie is crate trained, house trained and knows basic commands (sit, paw, down). He is currently being fostered in Oro Medonte with other dogs. Odie is great with kids and other dogs, especially those who enjoy a bit of rough-and-tumble play. He loves dogs the same size as him. He can take a bit of time to warm up to big dogs, but with patience he will get there. His bff now is a bernese mountain dog. Obsessed with toys Kid-approved Dog social Big heart, bigger personality If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion with a goofy streak and a heart of gold — Odie’s your guy. Let’s find him the happy ending he deserves. More About English Boston Bulldog BreedOverview:
The English Boston Bulldog, a charming hybrid born from the union of the Boston Terrier and the Bulldog, offers a delightful blend of its parent breeds. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine desirable traits, this medium-sized companion typically exhibits a sturdy, muscular build, often with the distinctive flat face and expressive eyes reminiscent of both ancestors. Their coat is usually short and low-maintenance. Temperamentally, they are known for being affectionate, loyal, and generally good-natured, making them excellent family pets. While they enjoy playtime, their exercise needs are moderate, making them surprisingly adaptable to apartment living, provided they receive regular walks. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health considerations common to brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds, such as respiratory issues and heat sensitivity, as well as joint concerns like hip and elbow dysplasia. Regular veterinary care and a balanced diet are crucial for their well-being.
