Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Quinn, a spunky & soulful terrier mix who was born with a literal sign of affection right on her nose(heart- shaped). Quinn can be described as a snuggle bug with a side of curious explorer. She loves everyone from people big & small to cats to dogs of all sizes. She can be found bouncing through the snow with the dog pack only to come inside & curl up by your side, or better yet, on your lap, for as long as you'll let her. She loves to give kisses as well as get treats for just about anything. She is well on her way with house training. She even fidgets in your lap or sniffs around when she needs to go potty. She is kennel trained & even takes her meals in there. Quinn would do best with a furry friend to play with and learn from as long as they are gentle and not to rough with her since she's still growing. If you feel you have the perfect home for this sweet, beautiful girl, fill out an application and come meet her soon! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
