Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Meet Lotus, the confident little firecracker you’ve been searching for! This sweet girl is one of three adorable pups, and she’s quickly proven herself to be the most outgoing of the bunch. Lotus absolutely thrives on human attention, soaking up every pet, cuddle, and sweet word. Playtime is serious business for Lotus, especially when it involves a good game of tug-of-war with her siblings. She's a true social butterfly, fearlessly greeting new people with wiggles and excited tail wags. Prepare for a lot of puppy kisses and gentle licks – Lotus is a big believer in showing her affection! When she's not charming new friends, Lotus loves nothing more than to curl up for a good snuggle. Being held is one of her favorite pastimes, and she'll happily melt into your arms. She's also quite vocal with her brother and sister, engaging in playful barks and puppy chatter. Showing her adaptable nature, she’s even enjoyed playful romps with our other dogs, proving she can fit seamlessly into a multi-pet household. She is about 75% potty trained and 100% reliable with using puppy pads indoors. She holds her bladder while in the kennel and goes straight outside to potty as soon as she’s let out. Accidents are rare and usually only happen when she’s free-ranging inside. When placed in a playpen area, Lotus consistently uses puppy pads. If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate, and playful companion who loves to be the center of attention, Lotus is your girl! She's ready to bring so much joy and puppy love into her forever home. Lotus is from a local reservation. Breed overview
Overview:
The Sheprador, a popular crossbreed resulting from the union of a German Shepherd Dog and a Labrador Retriever, embodies many desirable traits from both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd with the Labrador's friendly disposition, these dogs typically boast a medium to large build with a dense, weather-resistant coat that can range in color. Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
