Description
Dog Breed: Bulldog / Boxer / Mixed. AN ACTIVE & WONDERFUL FRIEND: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi, my name is Wilson! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the volunteers, who take great care of me, but nothing will beat a home and family of my own. I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them a lot. I’m an excitedly vocal player, so if you have dogs at home already that wouldn’t mind this, let’s meet! We should also be fed separately. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I have mildly guarded my food so best no toddlers or young children that may not understand this about me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, fun, and happy guy with a playful, goofy, and sweet personality who is full of love. I have so much happy enthusiasm to share, and I did great during my bath, too - I even drank from the sprayer and handed out kisses. I’m a chatty, vocal player who loves to “talk” while I play with both people and other dogs. It’s just my sweet way of letting you know I’m having fun! I’ve shown a little food guarding in the past, but it’s been very mild and is well managed after working with my trainer, so please just ask about it. I’m a loving, affectionate boy who can’t wait to brighten your days. / Energy Level: 7-9. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. / The crate is not my favorite place, so I do some whining in there. / My potty habits are slowly improving on a good schedule. Please keep me on a consistent schedule, so that I can fully master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love playing with toys, especially tennis balls, and I never say no to a peanut butter treat. I’ve destuffed a few toys and shredded a blanket, so please just watch me with these items. Chin scratches are the best, and they always make my tail wag! At the end of the day, being with my people is really what I’m after. / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I recently started 2 inexpensive stress/anxiety medications to help with some mild separation anxiety that I’m experiencing. Hopefully I will no longer need it once I’ve settled into my new home. I also take an inexpensive tummy medication to help with some tummy upset I experience at the shelter. I’m a wonderful pup looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Bull-Boxer, a robust and charming hybrid, emerges from the crossing of the energetic Boxer and the sturdy Bulldog, creating a dog with a unique blend of traits. Originating in the late 20th century, these intelligent and affectionate companions typically inherit a muscular build, often featuring the Boxer's athletic frame combined with the Bulldog's broader head and sometimes a slightly undershot jaw. Their coat is usually short and dense, varying in color. Temperamentally, Bull-Boxers are known for being loyal, playful, and protective, making them excellent family pets who thrive on companionship. While adaptable, their moderate energy levels mean they appreciate a yard but can also adapt to apartment living with sufficient daily exercise. Potential owners should be aware of possible health considerations such as joint issues (like hip and elbow dysplasia) and brachycephalic-related breathing difficulties, especially in warmer climates, underscoring the importance of choosing a reputable breeder.
