Gets Along With: Fred does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Special Adoption Considerations: Fred is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes. Fred is Looking For: Hi! I'm Fred My sister Ginger and I (disclaimer here - both of us have two left paws. I have no idea why the shelter named us that) have had a great time growing up together but now we're ready to split up and get our own human families. I'm a young pup, not yet a year old, and I've got all that young-dog energy to burn. Romps in parks and adventures such as hikes in the mountains sound amazing to me. I'd like to make pup pals too! And to go to dog school, so I can show how super smart I am. And then cuddles - lots of snuggles - after fun days together. Thing is, right now I'm a little confused about why we ended up in the shelter, and I'm a little scared. I need extra patient and loving humans who will help me adjust to new environments at my pace, and a friendly resident dog who will show me around. You know what I want most of all? To know I'm safe and loved, where I belong. In exchange I promise so much love and loyal companionship for all my days. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you?
