Meet Onyx — a handsome pittie with brains, manners, and just the right amount of bounce.Onyx already knows sit and shake, and he takes treats gently and politely, like the good boy he is. Despite his solid, sturdy build, he walks surprisingly well on leash and enjoys getting out and about without turning every walk into a workout. In playgroups, Onyx shines with well-matched canine friends. He loves to play and engage, but he’s not over-the-top or chaotic—just a fun, social guy who knows how to keep things balanced. His energy is playful but manageable, making him a great fit for someone who wants an active companion without nonstop zoomies.Onyx is the kind of dog who can enjoy a romp with friends and then happily settle in for some quality hangout time. If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate, and well-mannered pittie to share your days with, Onyx is ready to meet you and show you just how great he can be. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
