Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Coco! Coco is a 25 pound, 7 month old mixed breed gal! This happy pup is a true people-lover! She adores everyone she meets and never misses a chance to say hello. Friendly, affectionate, and full of tail wags, this girl thrives on human connection and will gladly be your constant companion. She loves to be out and about, but her favorite thing is being cuddled up on the couch right next to her people. She is quickly learning that her crate is a safe space and sleeping soundly through the night in there. She is also becoming house trained with a routine schedule. Coco is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a fun bonding experience. Her large foster brother can be a bit intimidating for her, but as each day passes she is becoming more brave and playful and now loves to play tug-of-war with her foster brother. She loves her walks, but will need a little guidance since this friendly little girl wants to say hi to everyone that passes by! Although she does get excited and tends to jump when greeted by someone, her calm demeanor makes us think she would do great around kids and cats. With patience, kindness, and lots of love, this pup will blossom into the most devoted best friend. Could you be the one to give Coco her forever home for the new year? She can go to her forever home on or after Jan 4, 2026.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
