Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed. This black and white male puppy is a bouncy, goofy guy who’s always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. He leans more toward the Boxer/Staffy side of his mix, bringing that classic “boxer bounce” energy and a fun-loving personality. When he gets excited, he can be a bit of a bulldozer, but it’s all part of his enthusiastic charm. He’s social with people and enjoys affection, and while he gets along well with other dogs, he isn’t overly pushy or hyper-playful. He’s fairly confident overall and tends to recover quickly if something startles him, though he can be sensitive to unfamiliar noises and a bit suspicious of new sights when on leash. He has a medium food drive and a higher toy drive—tug is his absolute favorite game. He also enjoys training and engaging his brain, working in a more slow and thoughtful. He’s already potty trained, crate trained, and does well on leash. This pup would make a great companion for someone who wants a buddy to tag along on outings. Whether that’s grabbing a drink at a local spot or playing fetch or tug after a long day. He will need continued exposure and training, but nothing beyond what you’d expect from a typical happy, young dog. He could do well in a home with kids with proper structure and supervision, though his bouncy nature means extra care should be taken around very young children learning to walk. He is fairly dog social, making him a good candidate for homes with other dogs. Because of his energy and training needs, he would do best with an experienced owner rather than a first-time dog home. Between 0-8 weeks he had early environmental exposure. He was handled since birth, early neurological stimulation and early scent introduction. As of lately, he is working in confidence building, socialization, free shaping, recall and basic positions. He is crate trained, potty trained, and does well on leash. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
