Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier. Bradford is a 1-year-old male Pit/Pointer mix who weighs just 42 pounds, but don’t let his size fool you — this boy has a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! He came to us from North Tulsa just as bad weather was rolling in, and despite having a severely broken leg that he’d been limping on for quite some time, Bradford never lost his joyful spirit. He’s truly a little miracle wrapped in a wiggly, happy package. The great news? Bradford’s splint is off, the pin is holding nicely, and he is fully healed and ready for his new home! He’s very easy to train and eager to please! ✔️ Loves other dogs ✔️ Great with children ✔️ Fantastic in the car ✔️ Happy, social, and affectionate ✔️ Crate-trained and house-trained Bradford genuinely believes everyone is his friend and greets the world with a wagging tail and a huge smile. He will, however, chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best. If you’re searching for a cheerful, loyal, and playful companion who will fill your days with laughter and love, Bradford is ready to be your sidekick. Come meet this happy boy and fall in love!

Okie Pet Rescue
okiepetrescuegmail okiepetrescue
An application must be completed and approved after a comprehensive review. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
