Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed (medium coat). Winnie is a sweet, gentle 7-year-old Chiweenie with a shy, sensitive nature. She’s currently in a NJ foster home. Winnie came to us from a hoarding situation and is learning what love feels like for the very first time. She's low-energy and thrives in a calm, cozy home with a predictable routine. Winnie takes time to trust, but shows steady progress and enjoys quiet companionship once she feels safe. She can live with another calm, respectful dog or be perfectly happy as an only dog. Winnie doesn’t seem to mind cats. She’s still learning about potty training, leashes, and collars. This sweet girl needs a calm, patient home that will go at her pace and celebrate every tiny victory. Winnie is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
