Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300. Elphaba (Yes, like Wicked — and just as unforgettable.) Elphaba is a 9-week-old baby girl weighing just 4–5 lbs, and she’s already casting spells on everyone she meets. Much like her namesake, she may start out a little misunderstood, but give her a moment and you’ll discover a loyal, loving soul with a heart full of magic. This little green-witch-in-spirit is: • Brave & Curious – Always ready to explore her world, even if it’s one paw at a time • Sweetly Soft – A gentle cuddle bug who melts right into your arms • Smart & Observant – Watching, learning, and figuring things out with quiet confidence • A True Original – Independent, special, and unapologetically herself Elphaba is still very young, so she’s learning all the puppy basics — potty training, manners, and how to be the very best companion. With patience, love, and guidance, she’s destined to defy gravity and become an amazing lifelong friend. If you’re looking for a puppy who’s a little magical, a little mischievous, and completely unforgettable, Elphaba is ready to find her forever home and write the next chapter of her story — with you. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
