Dog Breed: Border Collie / Mixed. Marianne is a joyful, people-loving girl with a resilient heart and so much love to give. She was sadly abandoned by her owner and left relying on the kindness of neighbors who cared for her and her canine friend until they were no longer able to do so. Despite that rough start, Marianne remains incredibly trusting, affectionate, and eager to be part of a family. She adores people and gets adorably excited around other dogs, making her a fun and social companion. Marianne is fully potty trained and sleeps peacefully through the night on a dog bed in her foster’s room. She has done wonderfully without a crate — she doesn’t tear up the house, plays appropriately with her dog toys, and settles in easily. Marianne is smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. She loves running around the backyard and enjoys going on walks. She pulls just a little on leash, but it’s very manageable and improving with practice. Marianne is a truly special dog who has already shown so much strength and sweetness. She’s ready for a forever home where she’ll never have to wonder if she’s been forgotten again — just loved. Marianne was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
