Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Great Dane / Mixed. Chula is truly one-of-a-kind—a gentle, big-hearted sweetheart who wins everyone over the moment they meet her. She is extremely friendly and adores people of all ages, especially children, soaking up pets and affection with pure joy. Despite her playful nature, Chula is wonderfully respectful and intuitive, giving space to shy dogs and never being pushy. She plays politely and gets along beautifully with other dogs. This gem of a girl is an absolute dream on leash—no pulling, no barking, and no reactivity to other dogs. Walks with Chula are calm, enjoyable, and full of tail wags. She appears to be fully house-trained with no accidents and takes treats gently, making her a pleasure to have in the home. Chula already knows sit and shake/paw and is eager to please, so continued training will be fun and rewarding. She loves stuffies, enjoys playful moments with dog friends, and when she’s ready to rest, she’ll happily curl up in a cozy spot on the couch for a nap. Gentle, goofy, affectionate, calm, and cuddly—Chula has a way of making it feel like she’s always been part of the family. Add in her love for belly rubs and giving kisses, and it’s impossible not to fall in love. Volunteer notes: Chula is a perfect girl! Her behavior is so sweet towards other dogs. She is cautious when approaching and seems to read the other dogs well. She doesn't know any commands but loves treats, so she has the potential and possible motivation to learn. We temp tested her with Moon A2040187, Remington A2044234, and Phillie A2043602, and all were fantastic. Chula was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
