Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption!! Albani is a happy-go-lucky little pup with a fun, playful, and funny personality. She has great energy during playtime but can also entertain herself with no problem. She is loving, easygoing, social, affectionate, obedient, and well-mannered. Albani knows several basic commands, including come, sit, off, and leave it, and she is currently working on down, give paw/shake, and heel. She is about 80% crate trained, working on potty training, and does well with kids, cats, and other dogs. Albani would make a wonderful companion for an active and loving home. She has had 2 vet visits, is spayed,, microchipped, vaccinated - (needs 1 more DHPP vaccination & is included), has received Bordetella, had a 4 DX test (testing for Heartworm, Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food, toys & a bone. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
