Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption – Meet Blanche! Blanche is a sweet, happy pup with a heartbreaking beginning. She and her sisters were dumped in the desert, left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, a kind Samaritan found them and gave them a second chance at life. Blanche spent most of her early life outdoors and is now discovering — and loving — the comforts of being inside a home. She is loving, kind, playful, and full of joyful energy. Watching her happiness shine through is truly heartwarming. She is obedient and eager to please, and is currently learning basic commands such as come, sit, down, off, and leave it. Blanche is crate trained (though she can experience some anxiety at times but does quiet), potty trained with us so far, leash trained, and does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs. Blanche would thrive in a home with: A yard to run and play, Another dog sibling to share life and companionship with. Blanche is ready to find her forever family and continue her journey in a loving home. She has had 2 vet visits, is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated - including Bordetella, had a 4 DX test (testing for Heartworm, Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food, toys & a bone. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
