Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption! Amari is a stunning little girl with a heart of gold. She is incredibly smart, fun-loving, and full of personality—spunky, sassy, and endlessly charming. She has a great balance of energy: playful and energetic during playtime, yet able to entertain herself when needed. Amari plays well with others and is naturally gentle. She loves to cuddle and snuggle in your lap. Amari is a quick learner who thrives on praise and affection—she truly believes her name means “good girl!” Knows basic commands: come, sit, down, off, leave it, is 90% crate trained, working on potty training, Great with kids, cats & all dogs. Amari would make a wonderful addition to a loving home looking for a smart, affectionate, and well-socialized companion. She has had 2 vet visits, is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated - (needs 1 more DHPP vaccinations & is included), has received Bordetella, had a 4 DX test (testing for Heartworm, Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food, toys & a bone. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
