Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) / English Sheepdog / Mixed. Meet Tucker! Tucker is a big, goofy, 75 lb Sheepadoodle who will be turning 3 years old on 2/1/26. He’s a whole lot of dog, physically and personality wise, and he’s looking for a patient, loving home that will help him continue to build confidence. Tucker is pretty lazy and has a medium to low energy level, leaning more low. He’s happiest just doing whatever you’re doing, whether that’s lounging on the couch, following you from room to room, or casually walking around the house. He’s not a high energy dog and would be perfectly content in a calmer home. He is seemingly house trained, non shedding but will require regular grooming to maintain his coat, and gets along wonderfully with his senior foster siblings, one 60 lb dog and one 10 lb dog. He’s great on a leash and enjoys walks, even if the world can still feel a little overwhelming at times. True to his breed, Tucker is stubborn, silly, and very goofy. He knows how to sit, but only when he wants to. Consistency, positive reinforcement, and treats will go a long way with him. Tucker is shy, reserved, and skittish at first, and he takes time to warm up, but once he does, he becomes a true velcro dog who wants to be near his people. He sleeps 8 to 10 hours every night in his crate without issue. While he doesn’t love crating during the day yet, he’s improving and goes in with a treat and encouragement. He doesn’t try to escape, he just likes to talk about it. Because of his size and nervousness, Tucker would do best in a home without small children, but he could thrive with older, respectful kids who understand giving him space and time. He has not been tested with cats. Tucker will need a home that offers patience, structure, consistency, and lots of love to help him fully let his guard down. In return, you’ll get a loyal, laid back, slightly stubborn shadow who just wants to feel safe and loved.
