Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hi! Iâm Winnie! Iâm a fun, affectionate young lady looking for an active home! I love people, dogs, and even kids (though I can get a little too excited for the little ones, so no kids under 12 for me). I enjoy cuddles, playing with toys, ripping up stuffed animals, chewing on my favorite toys, going to the dog park, and hiding treats for later. Iâm house trained, leash trained, and know commands like sit, lay down, and come. I love car rides, though I can get a bit vocal if weâre in the car too long. Iâd love an in-shelter meet and greet with any dogs in your home to make sure our play styles match. Iâm a playful, energetic girl who wants to meet new people, get pets, and sometimes give lots of kisses. Iâm not a cat, bird, or small mammal fan, so Iâll need a home without them. With the right family, Iâll be a loving, joyful, and playful companion. I canât wait to meet you

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
