Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Jack's heart is as big as his sweet, soulful eyes. This boy is the total package: - Potty-trained and crate-trained - Excellent on a leash and loves meeting new people - Great in the car â hops into an SUV with ease and enjoys the ride - Patient and calm while putting on his harness, leash, and âAdopt Meâ vest - No resource guarding with food, treats, or toys - Respectful and trustworthy â even ignores open-top garbage cans when left alone Jack spent a full day âworkingâ in an office and absolutely nailed it. He was polite in private offices and conference rooms, calm during meetings, friendly with everyone he met, and helpful on errands. In fact, he's welcome back anytime â that's how impressive he was. Out in the community, Jack shines just as brightly. He enjoyed walks to the park, Pet Food Express, Safeway, and Starbucks, calmly passing other dogs with zero issues. He handled automatic doors, shopping carts, air curtains, and new noises like a pro. He even browsed for treats like a seasoned shopper and, yes â he loves pup cups. Jack could do well with older or dog-savvy kids, enjoys stuffed toys, and shows little interest in distractions like turkeys. Mostly, he just wants to be near his people, quietly soaking in the love he's so ready to give back. Jack is sweet, steady, and ready for a forever home. One look into his gentle eyes and you'll understand why everyone falls for Jack. ___________________ Report on this amazing pup on his second day trip: A Dog Ready for His Forever Home Jack continues to prove that he is not only a great dog, but a truly exceptional companion who is more than ready for adoption. On his second day trip with meâthis time to a professional office environmentâJack was every bit as wonderful as he was on his first outing, somehow even cuddlier, more affectionate, and more connected. His consistency, calm demeanor, and loving nature shine through in everything he does. From the very start of the day, Jack shows how thoughtful and patient he is. He loads easily in and out of my SUV and waits politely instead of pushing his way out. When asked to pause until we are both ready, he patiently waits for the cue and then hops out when given the âOK.â He clearly understands boundaries and respects direction. During the drive, Jack settles in comfortably, enjoys the fresh air with the windows down, and rides calmly the entire time. Jack is fully potty trained and reliable. He holds it until he is taken outside and shows excellent awareness of appropriate behavior indoorsâanother sign of how well-mannered and home-ready he is. At the office, Jack is a natural. He greets coworkers with warmth, kindness, and gentle affection. He has met people of all genders, races, nationalities, and generations, and he does wonderfully with everyone. His calm confidence makes him a joy to be around, and it's clear he genuinely enjoys human connection. Once meetings begin, Jack shows how smart and intuitive he is. Without being asked, he quietly lies down and relaxes, perfectly content to observe or rest while work gets done. He remains calm and well-behaved in a busy environment, even with office noises such as printers, security sounds, cupboard doors, and automatic doors. He is impressively brave and unbothered by rolling janitorial trash cans or other unfamiliar equipment. Jack walks beautifully on a leash and is polite and gentle when taking treats. He knows how to sit on command and is eager to please without being pushy. Despite having open waste binsâincluding a compost binâhe never attempts to get into them, showing excellent impulse control and respect for his surroundings. Jack is kind, loyal, sweet, loving, patient, and brave. He is calm, affectionate, and incredibly well-adjusted in real-world settings. He has all the qualities of a devoted companion and would transition seamlessly into a home environment. Jack isn't just a good dogâhe's a ready-now dog, waiting for the person or family who will give him the forever home he so deeply deserves. __________________ To make an appointment to fall in love, please go to yoloshelter/adopt.
