Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Please welcome Evie to our Stray Haven family. Evie was named for her freedom ride, which happened to be on New Year’s “Eve”, so we decided to name her Evie. She is a 3-4 month old Shepherd doodle mix. She came to us from a shelter in Kentucky. She is a very sweet, playful puppy. She gets along well with all the other dogs. She likes to say hi to the cat whenever she sees her, although the cat doesn’t really love Evie because Evie wants to play. She is crate trained and doing very well with house training. She usually will go to the door and whine when she wants to go out, She loves toys and snuggles, does well in the car, and is great for baths and getting her toenails trimmed. Her hair is so super soft! Despite being abandoned in a shelter as a young puppy, she has nothing but love to give, she’s just a very sweet natured girl! Please consider welcoming Evie into your home or if you know someone who might be interested please share her so we can find her forever home! If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $265 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. .petstablished/adoption_form/10167/generic .

Breed overview
Overview:
The Sheprador, a popular crossbreed resulting from the union of a German Shepherd Dog and a Labrador Retriever, embodies many desirable traits from both parent breeds. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd with the Labrador's friendly disposition, these dogs typically boast a medium to large build with a dense, weather-resistant coat that can range in color. Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
