Dog Breed: Border Terrier / Schnauzer / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Hiya! I’m Shipley, a young, likely border terrier/schnauzer mix with a big personality packed into a little puppy body. I’m one of those pups who believes everyone is my friend—humans of all ages, dogs big and small, and even cats get my stamp of approval! I’m a happy, high-energy girl who wakes up every day ready to play, learn, and soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Toys are my jam, laps are my favorite place to land, and I’m super eager to please. I’m a smart cookie, too, and with a little training and a good routine, I’m going to shine. I might let you know how I feel when I’m kenneled or confined (I’ve got opinions!), but really, I just want to be near my people. One of my cutest quirks? I make the tiniest little growl when I don’t get my way—it’s more adorable than intimidating, I promise. I’d likely benefit from having a furry sibling to show me the ropes, but what I want most is a family who will pet me, love me, and help me grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be. They arrive in Minnesota on 01/24/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
