Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Hi, I'm Jaxson, a friendly, people-loving dog whoâs always ready for whatever the day brings. Whether itâs a walk, a car ride, or just hanging out with my favorite people, I'm all in. I recently went on a Daycation and absolutely crushed it, showing off my fun-loving personality and eagerness to explore. I'm also a total star in the office at the shelter â a very good boy who loves being part of what goes on in the office. I'm still learning how to navigate dog-to-dog interactions and can get a bit overexcited, but thatâs part of my charm. With structure, guidance, and positive training, Iâll channel that big energy into being a loyal, loving companion. I would thrive in most homes looking for someone who's into the homebody lifestyle. If youâre looking for a smart, spirited training partner who will reward your effort with endless affection and enthusiasm, I might just be your perfect match! I'm quite the star - I have so many videos and photos! Scroll down to the end to check them all out! Here's a video of how well I walk on my gentle leader (the thing on my head-it's kind of like a halter for a horse): Bein' a goob in the office: Waiting for a snack in my Daycation house like the good boy I am:

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
