Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Louie is a sweet, loving lab currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana and can head to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. Meet Louie This handsome guy is about a year old and ready to be someone's new best friend! Louie is a black lab mix with the most gorgeous coat-with soft shades of brown that shimmer in the sunlight. He's a sweet, sweet boy with the perfect mix of playful and calm. Louie loves to say hi to everyone (both 2 and 4 legged) but he's polite- not a jumper. For a young dog, he has such a gentle, easy going way about him. If you're looking for a friendly companion who just wants love and to be loved, Louie is your guy. He would make a wonderful family dog, always ready for a walk, a cuddle, or simply hang out by your side. Louie is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He is going through heartworm treatment and is available for adoption in March. His adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
