Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Guess who it is? ?? ?? Toffee! This little boy was at the OKC shelter. Heâs around 8 months now and probably around 40 pounds. Since I got him in October, heâs learned to trust me & is comfortable being in my home. Heâs still nervous about going new places & meeting new people. However, heâs slowly getting there. Heâs gotten used to his crate to the point where he runs ??????? in there and lays down when he knows Iâm getting ready to leave the house. in At night, he loves sleeping in bed ?? with me and my other dogs. Loves playing ?? with my other dogs and new fosters coming into my home. When he has access to the back door being open, he has already figured out that he needs to run outside to ?? potty! With love & patience, Toffee could easily fit into any family. Iâve attached his DNA ?? test to the post. He is adoptable through OKC animal welfare. Iâm willing to travel to find him the right home ?? Let me know if youâd like to meet this sweet boy! If you would like to meet me, contact my foster mom at Kristendalgleishyahoo

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
