Description
Dog Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Your Loyal Cuddle Buddy Awaits: Meet Chewy! Name: Chewy Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Age: 6 years young Size: 20 lbs of pure love Hello, my name is Chewy, and I’m on a mission at the start of 2026 to find my one and only perfect person or family. I’ve been through some changes, but my foster says I have so much love to give, and I’m ready to find my forever home where I can be your #1 companion. A Little About Me: Imagine a shadow who is also a warm, cuddly, and incredibly loyal friend. That’s me! I am the definition of a "Velcro dog." My favorite place in the world is right by your side, whether you're working at your desk, cooking in the kitchen, or relaxing on the couch. I’m a true lap dog at heart and believe that a good nap is always better when it's a cuddle session with my person. I’m not just a pretty face (though my expressive eyes do get me a lot of compliments!). I’m also: · House-trained: You can trust me indoors. I have excellent manners and will let you know when I need a potty break. · A Leash Pro: I walk well on a leash but do get excited when there are squirrels and rabbits for me to tease · Loyal & Devoted: My loyalty runs deep. Once I know I'm yours and you're mine, I will be your most steadfast and adoring friend. My Perfect Home: To be the happiest and best version of myself, I would truly thrive as the only dog in the home. I love getting all the attention and want to pour all of my love onto my special person or family without having to share the spotlight. It's important that there are not any children in the home, as I can become confused and overly excited by the sudden movements of little ones. Sometimes I still get startled by certain noises and motion. A calm, stable home where someone is around often would be my dream. I'm mostly a calm mature gentleman who enjoys long cuddles on the sofa but I love my exercise by walks and chasing little animals in the yard (don't worry, I'm not fast enough to catch them). I would be perfect for a retiree, someone who works from home, or a family with a quieter lifestyle. I am working on being separated from my human when they leave the house. I would need some patience as I adjust to knowing that I am in my forever home. Are You My Perfect Match? If you are looking for a faithful, loving, and wonderfully behaved companion to share your life and your lap with, then we might just be meant to be. I promise to fill your days with quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and endless cuddles. All I need is a second chance and a soft place to land. Let’s write our next chapter together. Overview:
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is an enchanting toy breed with a rich history, originating from the spaniels depicted in paintings of the 16th to 18th centuries and popularized by King Charles II. They are characterized by their gentle, affectionate temperament, making them exceptional companions. Physically, Cavaliers are small yet sturdy, typically weighing between 13-18 pounds, with a silky, medium-length coat that comes in various color patterns including Blenheim (chestnut and white), tricolor, black and tan, and ruby. Their signature features include a slightly domed head, large expressive eyes, and long feathered ears. Cavaliers are known for being adaptable and eager to please, thriving in both family environments and apartment living due to their moderate exercise needs and loving nature. They generally get along well with children and other pets, fitting seamlessly into most households. However, prospective owners should be aware of certain breed-specific health concerns, such as heart conditions (mitral valve disease) and syringomyelia, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
