Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Collie / Mixed. Meet Whitney, the little ray of sunshine who’s impossible not to love! She was found with her six siblings, and from day one, she stood out as the happiest, bounciest, and most easygoing pup of the bunch. Whitney falls in love fast...with people, with playtime, and especially with you. She’s the kind of girl who wants to be right by your side, happily sitting between your legs like she’s keeping watch over her favorite human. When she arrived with her fosters in Texas, Whitney was the very first to come out of her shell. It was Whitney's playful spirit and sweet confidence that helped show her siblings that people can be kind and trustworthy. They watched her play with her fosters from afar, and one-by-one, day-after-day they followed her lead. Despite being one of the smallest, she truly led with her heart. Whitney’s favorite toys? Shoelaces, sticks, and basically any branch she can proudly carry around. Her joy is contagious, her tail never stops wagging, and she has a special talent for stealing hearts...ours included. Out of her entire family, Whitney won us over the fastest… and we have no doubt she’ll do the same to you. This pup was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
