Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat). Meet little Lula- a teeny, under 5 pound sweetheart with a heart that is just learning how to be brave. Lula came from a hoarding situation where she didn't get the love, handling or attention she deserves. Because of that, she is shy and a bit skittish at first (yes, she may even freeze and do a nervous tinkle when you pick her up) but once you set her down, she's your tiny shadow and happy to stay right by your side. She is a sweet, gentle girl who just needs time, patience and a calm loving home to truly blossom into who she was always meant to be. She does well in a crate and is using pee pads, working on housebreaking, She would be best in a quiet home with older kids or adults who understand that love doesn't have to be rushed. Lula isn't looking for a big, loud world- she's looking for her person. Someone kind, patient and affectionate who will show her she is safe, cherished and finally home. Lula is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. She will be be spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
