Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler. Location: Watsontown, PA Molly is a beautiful little girl who loves to snuggle and can play all day. Car rides and hikes are high on her list of fun activities. She is working on skills and manners but is easily distracted. She is very good in her pen, quietly hanging out. A couple of her most favorite activities are herding a border collie and barking, typical cattle dog behaviors, so we have been working very hard at avoiding those. She has been living with four cats and they mostly tolerate her behavior. Molly would be best in quieter surroundings as she can be reactive vocally. She will adapt well to any situation. Her best friend and playmate is Duke a 16 week old fellow foster ACD. Molly is 25 weeks (DOB 07/06/25) and a flyweight at 25 pounds, she is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She is being fostered in Watsontown PA. Contact: millergrizpagmail. Complete an Application: .acdra/adoption-application

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
