Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianepluckydoganimalrescue) for more information about this pet. MRS. CAMILLA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Mrs. Camilla Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age: 8 years as of January 2026 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 9 lbs. Gets Along With: other dogs. We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: She's out of the shelter but still looking for a foster in the DC area. Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Mrs. Camilla is Looking For: At 8 years old, Mrs. Camilla is entering her “settled adult” phase—still full of personality, but with clearer preferences, sensitivities, and routines. She will do best in a home that offers stability, gentleness, and a quiet environment. Someone who reads body language and respects boundaries will help her feel safe. Mrs. Camilla likely still enjoys exploring, but in moderation. Frequent strolls around the neighborhood will be good for her, both physically and mentally. During the winter she will enjoy having a warm bed or sunny spot to nap in. What My Foster Says About Me: Mrs. Camilla was very shy upon arrival but is slowly building confidence. She’s not happy about the weather and after going outside is happy to curl up on a warm blanket. She doesn’t like being picked up but loves to give kisses! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
