Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (short coat). Bennie is a one year old German Shepherd mix, weighing about 42 pounds- neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, great on car rides, knows sit, down, shake, and come. Bennie is extremely sweet, and although he loves to play and run, he is also happy cuddling on the couch. He has the playful puppy energy but comes already trained. He would make a great hiking or biking partner and would prefer a home with a fenced yard where he can romp or play. Bennie gets along well with other dogs. He has not been around children or cats, but with his gentle disposition, he would probably do well with children 8 and older and a dog-suave cat. Bennie was found as a stray and was extremely shy. He has come a long way in confidence, but he will need a patient family who continue to socialize and expose Bennie to new things. Bennie's adoption fee is $300.00.
