Dog Breed: Terrier / Schnauzer / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $150. If you’re looking for a dog with brains, bounce, and a whole lot of heart, this boy is ready to win you over. He’s smart, full of happy energy, and believes life is best lived at full speed — preferably with a toy in his mouth and a human cheering him on. His Best Qualities • Alert and expressive — and yes, that includes a very impressive bark when he wants you to know something • Sweet as can be and always ready to play • Food‑motivated (treats are basically his love language) • Great in the car, making him an excellent adventure buddy A Few Honest Notes • The crate is… not his favorite place. He’d much rather be near his people • He’s got energy to spare, so an active home or someone who loves playtime will make him shine This lovable, goofy, treat‑powered pup is ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of fun into the right home. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
