Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed. Volunteer notes: This little 7 month baby let me dress him up and even stayed so good for pictures! I thought I would be more stressed but he was all fun! He sits quietly in his kennel everytime i would pass him! It said on his notes that he was so scared they carried him, thankfully when I met him he was ready to go outside and smell the fresh air!! I REALLLLLLLY like Buck and he’s a guy you can throw with your pups because he’s so friendly!! He was ready to play with the dog we tested him, he’s your typical 7 month friendly, loving pup! He was easily leashed, very treat motivated and only pulled to say hi to dogs which is trainable! Such a good boy for a pup! Buck was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is available to meet starting 1/24. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
