Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and 8 week old, lover boy Pickle is ready to be your forever date! Pickle’s favorite hobbies include cuddling, snuggling, and making every living creature around him fall in love with him. Pickle is a perfect gentleman who respects the space of his foster siblings, but he’s so adorable that even the house cat can’t say no when Pickle wiggles up and snoozes with him for nap time. After his numerous daily naps, you can find Pickle playing with other pups, cats, or occupying himself with a giant stuffy (he’s not picky). Grab a fuzzy blanket and turn on a nice rom-com and you can guarantee Pickle will be there to curl in your lap for a cozy night in. Pickle would love to find a home with another playful dog and ideally a fenced yard. (No dog parks for these babies as they do not yet have the immunity for public play.) Does Pickle sound like a perfect addition to your home? Applying is the first step to meet him - APPLICATION (See our Dog Adoption FAQs before applying)

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
