Dog Breed: Black Labrador Retriever / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Meet Savory! Savory is a 2 year old, 33 pound, Labrador mix who is the most darling girl you’ll ever meet. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who's as loyal as they come, Savory is your perfect match! This sweet soul has a calm, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to have around. Savory is a perfect companion that is just looking for a family that she can receive unlimited love from. She enjoys playing with friends, walks, lounging on the couch, or following you around the house. She is happiest when she is with her loved ones. She is great on a leash and great in the car. We are unsure how she does with cats because she hasn’t come in contact with any yet. She gets along with any person she comes in contact with, and no one is a stranger to her. She is 100% potty trained and can sleep in a crate at night but definitely prefers to sleep with her loved ones. I mean… who doesn’t? Savory is just a sweet girl who is looking for her forever home where she can show unconditional love to her family. If you are looking for the most perfect dog on this planet earth, she is your gal. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
