Dog Breed: Coonhound / Mixed. Hi, my name is Lara. I’m a sweet 2–3-year-old Lab/Hound mix with big brown eyes and an even bigger heart. I’m a little shy at first, but once I know you’re my person, I’m all in—snuggles, tail wags, and quiet companionship included. I am dog and cat friendly and would welcome a home with older children as playmates, as I am a gentle little lady who prefers the calmness and serenity with less hustle and bustle. I just want the simplest things in life. My life was sad, hard, and stressful before coming to LaMancha. I was found as a stray in North Carolina with my babies living in an old, demolished, vacant home trying to feed and care for my babies and myself all on my own. It was a rough life, as I was so hungry and scared. I am forever grateful to the rescue heroes that saved me and for LaMancha for saying yes to care for me and my babies till we find our forever homes. I dream of having a family to love me.
