Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Hi my name is Noodle! I'm about 5 years old, neutered and up to date on my vaccines and heart worm preventative. I love to play with toys, chase bubbles and play outside with toys. I get along with dogs and most cats but sometimes I like to chase them. I am very smart and know several commands like sit, shake, inside, cage, come and down to name a few. I'm house broke and kennel trained. I would describe myself as a loveable, silly, playful guy. I'm currently being fostered with two other dogs (a Boston Terrier and a boxer mix) as well as four cats. I'm a good boy ready for my new home.I have a whole goody basket of toys and snacks I can't wait to bring to my new home! **** Breed: Shepherd mix **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2193047&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
