Dog Breed: Doberman Pinscher (short coat). Click Here to Sponsor Me! Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed/adoption-application ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet. Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed/adoption-process Jazzy is a 4-month-old Doberman pup who is ready to dance her way into your life! She is currently fun-sized at 24lbs but don’t be fooled, she’s dreaming big! Jazzy is a world-class cuddler. She doesn’t just want to be near you; she wants to be on you. Whether it’s a lean against your legs or a full-on lap cuddle. She came to us as an owner surrender because her previous family wasn't quite ready for the Doberman "velcro dog" energy, but their loss is your gain! She loves other dogs. A home with a playful resident dog is a must to help her burn off that puppy zoomie energy. She needs a family that understands the breed and is excited to watch her grow from a 24lb peanut into a majestic lady. Looking for her future family to apply at .muttsinneed/adoption-application.html

Overview:
The Doberman Pinscher is a sleek and powerful breed originating from Germany in the late 19th century, specifically developed by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann for protection. Known for their striking, athletic build, Dobermans typically possess a short, glossy coat that comes in black, red, blue, or fawn, often with rust-colored markings. Their temperament is a fascinating blend of loyalty, intelligence, and alertness, making them exceptional guardians and devoted companions. While highly trainable and eager to please, they require early socialization and consistent training to channel their energy and protectiveness appropriately. Dobermans can thrive in active families who can provide ample exercise and mental stimulation, but their need for space and activity generally makes them less suitable for small apartment living unless exceptionally well-exercised. Regarding health, they are predisposed to certain conditions like Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), Von Willebrand's Disease, and Wobbler Syndrome, so responsible breeding and veterinary care are paramount.
