Description
Dog Breed: Havanese / Cairn Terrier / Mixed (long coat). Click Here to Sponsor Me! Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed/adoption-application ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet. Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed/adoption-process Welly (short for Beef Wellington) is every bit as classic and high-quality as his name suggests. At 9 years young and a portable 16lbs, this "forever young" gentleman consistently fools people into thinking he’s still a young man with his energetic spirit and dapper looks. Because he thrives on consistency and gentle affection, he’d be happiest in a home with adults or older children who can appreciate his refined personality. Welly is currently on a specialized gourmet diet to manage "crystalluria." While the name sounds a bit fancy, it simply means his body needs a specific balance of nutrients to keep his bladder health in tip-top shape. The Good News: It is a very manageable condition! By simply sticking to his tasty prescription food, his system stays clear and he stays happy. It’s a small, easy adjustment that ensures he feels his absolute best every day. Breed overview
Overview:
The Cairnese, a delightful cross between the spunky Cairn Terrier and the charming Havanese, is a relatively new designer breed gaining popularity for its winning combination of traits. Originating from the desire to blend the best qualities of its parent breeds, the Cairnese typically exhibits a small to medium stature, often weighing between 10-20 pounds. Their coats can vary, ranging from wiry to silky, in an array of colors including black, white, brown, and brindle, and usually require regular grooming to prevent matting. Temperamentally, they are known to be intelligent, affectionate, and playful, making them excellent companions. Their adaptable nature makes them suitable for various living situations, including apartments, provided they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation. They are generally good with families and respectful children, though early socialization is always beneficial. While generally healthy, potential health considerations may include those common to their parent breeds, such as luxating patellas or eye conditions, so choosing a reputable breeder is crucial.
