Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. Anna is about 6 months old and is an Aussie Doodle. She is super sweet and loving. She seems to get along with other dogs and has been friendly with all the humans she has met. Kim at Fetch Dog Spa groomed her and put some cute barrettes in her hair and now she is ready to find her forever home! She currently weighs about 27 pounds and will get bigger since she is just a puppy. She will need a home with another dog so she can build her confidence and learn how to "dog". She also is not house trained and will need some work in navigating that. Anna is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $600 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
