Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd. Sunny ☀️ + Yeti ❄️ are two adorable brothers searching for their forever homes! These handsome boys are about 6 months old and just under 50 lbs each, with some growing still to do (they even have a few baby teeth left!). We expect them to be large pups once fully grown. Sunny and Yeti are social, happy, and eager to please. They’re smart, food-motivated, and soaking up everything their foster homes are teaching them. Whether it’s learning new skills, making friends, or just enjoying time with their people, these boys are ready to thrive in loving homes of their own. If you’re interested in adopting Sunny or Yeti, please apply here .easelnj/application-dog/ ✨ Both are currently in foster homes, so an approved application is required to set up a meet and greet. ✨ Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Please go to .easelnj/adopt to submit an adoption application. Someone will be in touch within 48 hours.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
