She came to Ginger’s Pet Rescue as a local surrender, and while her world changed quickly, Sophie has shown nothing but quiet resilience and sweetness as she settles into her new chapter. Sophie enjoys cozy spots, soft voices, and staying close to her people — whether that’s curled up on a blanket or following you from room to room. She’s the kind of companion who brings comfort simply by being there, offering loyalty and affection in a small but mighty package. ✨ Sophie is looking for a patient, loving foster or a forever home where she can feel secure, cherished, and truly part of a family. One kind home can make all the difference for this little girl. Adoption Information Sophie’s adoption fee is $995, a non-refundable donation that helps support ongoing rescue efforts. It includes: • Spay • Vaccinations • Microchip • Boarding and daily care • Health certificate A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers.
