Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Meet Lemon Meruinge. She is an energetic, playful puppy who adores toys just as much as she enjoys curling up in your lap afterwards. She loves her chew bones, and rope toys as she is waiting for her baby teeth to fall out. She also loves a good stuffed animal with squeekers inside. Lemon Meringue is doing great sleeping in her crate at night. She sleeps next to the bed in our room and is usually good for about 7 hours before needing a potty break. If you take her outside she will do all her business and then go back to sleep for an hour or 2 if its too early to be up for the day. She is still working on potty training but is making good progress with a consistent routine and regular trips outside. She gets along with the resident dog and takes corrections when the older dog doesn't want to play. If you have a loving home with time to play, this snuggle bug is ready for you! This pup was rescued from a crowded shelter in New Mexico after the litter was dropped off at the shelter in a cardboard box. Meet and greets are by appointment only. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
