Description
Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier. Aurora is a one year old pup in February. She is a 26 lb Pit Bull mix. She was surrendered with her sibling brother by an owner that planned on moving. Unfortunately they were never vaccinated or fixed by the previous owner. But after coming to our rescue, we vaccinated, microchipped her and spaying her this week on January 22 nd. We already tested her for heartworm, Lyme and two other tick borne diseases. Fortunately she was negative on everything! She is dog and kid friendly, adult friendly too, but somewhat submissive in the beginning but warms up quickly once she knows you won't hurt her. Then she is very loving on you! She did well with a cat when we cat tested her! She deserves a better loving home! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Aurora please text Casey at 570-441-0083. Physically, they are medium-sized, known for their muscular build, broad heads, and powerful jaws, typically weighing between 30-60 pounds. Their coats are short and come in a wide array of colors. Temperamentally, a well-socialized APBT is often described as loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented, displaying a playful and sometimes clownish demeanor. They can be excellent family companions, provided they receive consistent training and early socialization, though their high energy levels mean they thrive with active owners. While they can adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, a house with a secure yard is often preferred. Notable health considerations include a predisposition to hip and elbow dysplasia, allergies, and certain heart conditions.
