Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. Meet Frozen (aka Ghost) – Your Gentle Little Snowflake Frozen is a 4-month-old sweetheart with the softest soul. She and her two sisters were found outside in Texas and are now safe with MAD Rescue>, thriving in foster care and ready to find families of their own. While her sister Snow tends to take the lead, Frozen (also lovingly called Ghost) is a bit more reserved. She can be shy when meeting new people, but give her a little time — and maybe a tasty treat — and you’ll see her blossom. Her confidence is growing more every single day, and it’s truly beautiful to watch. Frozen is treat-motivated, eager to learn, and already getting pretty good at “sit.” She does fantastic in her kennel and is completely potty trained — such an impressive girl for only 4 months old! Once she feels safe, she is incredibly loving and enjoys snuggling on the couch just as much as playing with toys or exploring outside. She would thrive in a patient, kind home that will continue to build her confidence using positive reinforcement and encouragement. With a little guidance and a lot of love, Frozen will reward her family with loyalty, sweetness, and the most heart-melting affection. From being found outdoors in Texas to learning how wonderful life can be, Frozen is ready for her forever home. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving pup who will quietly steal your heart, she’s your girl. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
